Congratulations to Group Leader Tom Mitchell who was presented with the Kidney Cancer Association Christopher G. Wood Rising Star Award on Saturday at the 2025 International Kidney Cancer Symposium in Amsterdam in recognition of his outstanding contribution to finding a cure for kidney cancer. The award recognises talented young kidney cancer experts.
In addition to being a Research Group Leader in the Early Cancer Institute, Tom is also a Consultant Urologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, a Cancer Research UK Clinician Scientist Fellow, and in October 2024 was named the Krishnan-Ang Distinguished Group Leader of Cambridge’s Urological Malignancies Virtual Institute (UMVI). A rising star indeed!
