The HDGC study is designed to improve our understanding of molecular basis of hereditary gastric cancer as well as the impact of genetic testing, endoscopy and surgery on people’s physical and mental wellbeing and health, and their quality of life.
Improved molecular characterisation can lead to innovative therapeutic options to prevent cancer development and intercept the progression of early cancer to advanced disease. We hope that this information will help to improve the treatment and information given to individuals and families in the future.
