Congratulations to members of the Institute's Fitzgerald Group who had great success at the Digestive Diesease Week 2024.
The conference, which took place in Washington D.C from 19-21 May, was attended by around 20,000 professionals working in gastroenterology, hepatology, GI endoscopy, gastrointestinal surgery and related fields.
The Fitzgerald Group attendees included Clinical PhD Fellow Keith Tan, Clinical Fellow Lianlian (Leanne) Wu, Group Leader Rebecca Fitzgerald and group alumna Sarah Killcoyne (former postdoc).
Keith Tan had three oral presentations which is an outstanding achievement and a fitting way to come towards completion of his PhD. One of his presentations was chosen as a distinguished abstract for the plenary session.
Lianlian Wu also had an oral presentation and Professor Fitzgerald was invited to give the Morton I. Grossman Distinguished Lecture, to recognise outstanding research in the area of gastroenterology.
We'd like to congratulate them all on their achievements and success.
