Congratulations to members of the Early Cancer Institute who took part in the Race For Life in Cambridge on Sunday 30th June 2024, raising just under £3,000 for Cancer Research UK.
The team of 24 runners was delighted to take part in this annual event, now in its 31st year. It's the UK’s largest charity mass-participation event and helps fund cutting-edge research into more than 200 types of cancer.
The 'Early Cancer Detectives' team included group leaders, PhD students, clinician-scientists, administrators, bioinformaticians and many of our research group members.
The event in Cambridge took place on Jesus Green with 5K and 10K routes. The Race for Life enables people to get together and remember loved ones lost to cancer or celebrate the lives of those who have survived.
There was a fantastic atmosphere in Cambridge as the runners got to run through the streets and colleges of Cambridge. We are very proud of those who took part or came to support our team.
