On 20th October 2023, the Precision Health Initiative and Early Cancer Institute at the University of Cambridge are holding a one-day workshop at Robinson College. This workshop, entitled Can cancer be detected earlier by employing wearable technologies, will review the latest advancements in the field of wearable devices and their use in early cancer detection.
We invite researchers from academia and industry to submit abstracts for posters, from which four outstanding contributions will be selected for 5-minute flash talks at the event.
Some poster topic examples include but are not limited to:
- Wearables technologies for cancer detection and monitoring
- Machine learning and artificial intelligence in wearable-based detection
- Real-world digital biomarkers and wearables
- Behavioural science and wearable devices in cancer
- Integrating wearables into population-based studies and healthcare systems
- Ethical considerations in the use of emerging technologies for cancer detection
- Regulatory frameworks and guidelines for technology-based cancer diagnostics
- Data privacy and security in wearable and technology-driven cancer detection
- Integration of wearable technologies with existing healthcare systems
- Innovations in cancer detection beyond wearables

- Title of the proposed poster
- Abstract of the proposed poster summarising your research (maximum 300 words)

Abstracts should be submitted by email to coordinator@precisionhealth.cam.ac.uk using the subject line: ‘Poster Submission: Wearables in Early Cancer Detection Workshop – [your initials]’ no later than the 1st October 2023.
