Cancer Data Driven Detection (CD3) is a proposed new, national research initiative dedicated to using data to revolutionise our understanding of cancer risk and to allow early interception of cancers. CRUK are leading the project with support from Health Data Research UK, The Alan Turing Institute and the Economic and Social Research Council’s Administrative Data Research UK programme.

Professor Antonis Antoniou, is leading the development of this programme over a one-year build phase. This first workshop for this initiative aims to convene the leading experts from across the United Kingdom in cancer risk, epidemiology, multi-omics, early detection, prevention, health informatics and data science and showcase the breadth of expertise in the research community and scope available data sets/methodologies/infrastructure. We would also welcome applications from patient and public representatives who are keen to help shape this initiative.

Please use the online form to register your interest in attending the first workshop (one day), which will be held in London on Monday 11th September 2023. Researchers from academic, clinical and industry backgrounds are welcome to apply. Early-career researchers are also welcome to apply but must have postdoctoral experience or equivalent.

Please note, places are limited and we expect to be over-subscribed, to help us assess your application please specify why you should be selected to attend the workshop and what you think you could bring to this initiative.

The deadline for applications is midnight on 7th July 2023 and you will be notified in August if you are allocated a space.  If you have any questions regarding this workshop please email Talisia.Quallo@cancer.org.uk
