We are delighted to announce that Dr Andreas Hadjinicolaou, Gastroenterologist and Academic Clinical Lecturer in Gastroenterology has been recognised with a Next Generation Award from the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE).
These prestigious awards recognise the most promising and emerging clinician-investigators in Europe, at the forefront of pioneering GI endoscopic research.
Andreas will receive the award in person at the ESGE annual conference in Milan next month.
Andreas commented: “I am thrilled and honoured to have been selected to receive a ESGE Next Generation Award and look forward to speaking at the forthcoming conference in Italy. It will be a great opportunity to share our work with the international gastroenterology and endoscopy community. This recognition gives me and my colleagues the incentive to continue our work to improve early detection of GI cancers for better patient outcomes. This award is a reminder of how much of this journey is shared as it would not have been possible without the generosity of our patients and collaborators and without the unwavering support of my incredible mentors, in particular Dr Massimiliano di Pietro and Professor Rebecca Fitzgerald in the Early Cancer Institute, to whom I extend my sincerest gratitude.”
