Dr Andreas Hadjinicolaou, Clinical Lecturer in Early Detection of GI cancers at the Early Cancer Institute and Honorary Speciality Registrar in Gastroenterology, has been awarded the Young Gastroenterologist of the Year Prize by the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG).
The prestigious award is given to the most talented trainee clinical scientist nationally in order to promote research and science in gastroenterology for the future. Andreas received his award at the plenary session of this year’s BSG conference at the ICC Birmingham where he also gave two oral presentations and one poster presentation.
As further testament to the quality of his work and his potential, Andreas had also been awarded a nationally competitive Clinical Lecturer Starter Grant by the Academy of Medical Sciences to pursue his research in Early Detection and Early Treatment of upper GI cancers.
We offer Andreas our warmest congratulations!
