Join the International Alliance for Cancer Early Detection (ACED), a partnership dedicated to transforming how and when cancer is detected.
ACED is seeking three talented and motivated clinical doctors who have a strong academic background and are passionate about research in cancer early detection, for a 36-month Clinical Research Training Fellowship, commencing in autumn 2027. One fellowship will be awarded at each UK ACED Centre: University College London, University of Cambridge, and University of Manchester.
Successful students will select their Principal Supervisor in a subject area of their choice from a list of approved UCL ACED PhD Supervisors. The Principal Supervisor and student will co-develop the PhD research project which can include selecting a suitable co-supervisor with complementary expertise from another ACED Member Centre.

The funding for this fellowship includes salary, tuition fees at the UK home rate only (funding will not cover international fees) and running expenses. The awarded amount can be up to £292,316 over three years.
Applicants must hold a medical degree, be eligible for GMC registration, have relevant clinical experience, and be eligible for UK Home fee status.
